The policy suite
Written, versioned, and available before you sign anything.
The following documents govern ALC’s conduct and are available to institutions on request ahead of any engagement.
- Independence and Impartiality Policy (ALC-POL-01). The structural protections behind ALC’s audit-only position, and the conflict disclosure rule applied before every engagement.
- Ethics, Confidentiality, Data Protection and GDPR Position. How institutional and athlete data is handled, held, and protected.
- Privacy Notice. How personal data is processed, on what lawful basis, and the rights of every data subject.
- Professional Standards Note. The recognised standards ALC’s conduct is aligned to, including the Global Internal Audit Standards and the ISAE 3000 assurance model.
- Data Provenance Statement. The boundary between the founding director’s doctoral research and ALC’s commercial work. No data collected under research ethics enters any ALC repository or audit.
Data handling in an engagement
Consent-based, de-identified, and governed in writing.
Athlete consultation is conducted under informed consent, and findings are reported so that no individual athlete is identifiable to the institution. Institutional data is held under the terms of the engagement letter. De-identified, aggregated outcomes may enter ALC’s longitudinal Outcomes Record only under a consent-based data rights clause agreed in the engagement letter.
ALC does not publish institutional findings and names no client without written consent secured after an engagement completes.
Independence
Structurally protected, never asserted alone.
ALC is an audit firm and only an audit firm. It takes no remediation contracts, holds no stake in any finding beyond its accuracy, and is willing to conclude that an audit is not indicated. All known conflicts are disclosed in writing before each engagement. Where a conflict cannot be managed, the engagement is declined.
